ESTER

In the Arab world, she was a young woman, baptized with the name of a flower, called Jasmine.

In order to avoid war with a neighboring nation, her name was changed to something like Daughter of the Night. And so she was known, forever, by those people, as Xerazade.

To the Jews, she was a young woman, named after a flower, called Hadassa.

To avoid war with a neighboring nation, her name was changed to something like Star. And so she was known, forever, by those people, as Ester.
